Velofix - Bike Maintenance
To register if Velofix will attend a SCC Ride. This option is only valid for the Velofix team
Volunteer - Lead SAG (3 pts)
Preferable someone who has experience of SAG duties and can organise the other SAG drivers along the routes.
Volunteer - SAG (2 pts)
SAG Drivers should be able to aid riders with difficulties along the route. If unable to resolve the problem then be able to transport the Rider and Bike to the nearest Rest Stop or back to the Start.

We will be riding from Dewberry Farm just north of Brookshire, Tx. Arrive early (7:30am) to ensure enough time to get your gear ready and hear the safety and ride announcements. We roll out at
8 am
. Several new routes will be available to choose from. New Rider Coaches will be there to help beginning riders get started and coach them along the route.

so please study the maps, download files to your Navigation device and print a copy of Map and Turn instructions. As the first ride of the season for many of you make sure to prepare yourself during the week so Friday evening you can relax and sleep easy knowing you are ready to kick off a new season.

Volunteer Requirements
Equipment Managers
must have a vehicle to haul a trailer to/from the ride.
Vehicle must be 6 cyl or *3,000* lbs towing power
Early Season Coaches
must have attended a GRS class in the past 3 years, have confident bike skills, and have ridden with the club the previous season.

We are offering No-Drop Group Rides at this event
This means you ride in a group at a agreed-upon pace on an agreed-upon route. It's a good way to get to know other people who ride like you! To join:
Be ready and meet near the sign-in table 10-15 minutes before ride start.
Pace groups available are usually 11-13mph, 14-16mph, and 16-18mph
Nearly anyone can volunteer to lead the group. Your GRS need to be up to date and you need recent SCC ride experience. Sign up to volunteer.

There is Parking is on grass/gravel, whilst drainage is good it could be damp, you could bring a heavy duty plastic bag to stand on whilst preparing.

If you do not have a RWG account then create one. You only need the starter (free) account
Members do NOT have to ask to be a friend of any one else's personnel RWG account to access the SCC routes
Members do NOT have to have a paid RWG account to access the SCC routes
RWG provides route output in multiple formats especially for digital GPS devices (Garmin, Wahoo etc) and also mobile Apps for iPhone and Android.
The format for GPS devices includes the Turn by Turn indications using the TCX or FIT formats. Check the best format for your device.
The
RWG mobile Apps provide Voice Navigation and Offline Maps
with no need to use data whilst riding. The Voice and Notification for navigation still works with the screen off. Users can install the RWG App on their device, sign in with their RWG account (created above). The SCC Events and Routes will automatically appear under My Club when published.
RWG is NOT being used for Event sign-up, Members must still register for each ride on the SCC webpage.
