This ride will be combined with the SCC Adopt-A-Highway clean up. This is a great opportunity to get some volunteer points. The ride will start from Pattison Volunteer Fire Department. Arrive early (7:30am) to ensure enough time to get your gear ready and hear the safety and ride announcements. We roll out at 8 am.
You will need to bring some footwear, hat, gloves to change in to. Riders will ride 6 miles, then pullover, change foot wear and proceed to walk the SCC Adopt-A-Highway section picking trash in to the bags. Then they change back and continue on with the ride. The more volunteers the quicker the cleaning and more time to ride.
Routes have been modified to allow for reduced volunteer support so check RWG maps carefully. Please study the maps, download files to your Navigation device and print a copy of Map and Turn instructions if you require them.
COVID: For the safety of all riders and volunteers it is important that we all follow the guidelines. Whilst this is outside it is important to follow some basic rules. Please review the SCC Covid Guidelines
PREPARATION: As the first ride of the season for many of you make sure to prepare yourself during the week so Friday evening you can relax and sleep easy knowing you are ready to kick off a new season. Also preparing yourself and your equipment will minimize the need for assistance during the ride.
