Take 2!
The ride will start from Pattison Volunteer Fire Department. Arrive early (7:30am) to ensure enough time to get your gear ready and hear the safety and ride announcements. We roll out at 8 am.
Please study the maps, download files to your Navigation device and print a copy of Map and Turn instructions if you require them.
COVID: For the safety of all riders and volunteers it is important that we all follow the guidelines. Whilst this is outside it is important to follow some basic rules. Please review the SCC Covid Guidelines
Ride Note:
Please note that on the Pattison ride we will now encounter about a 1/2 mile of Ready 2 Roll overlap. This is not enough to move the ride but just be aware. This is their 1st ride and they expect 300-400 riders. We may see them passing our starting point as well as about a 1/4 mile of overlap on the last leg of our routes on Durkin. This is actually a bit of good training for the MS 150 as there will be a LOT more riders there.
See the attached map. Our route is in Yellow and the R2R route is in Red
Key things to note:
· Give right of way to riders passing by our start
· Know our map - Do not turn right with other cyclists on 359/1458 at the big 3-way stop. We go straight there.
· Our riders will be turning left onto Durkin from Clapp Rd and R2R will be turning Right from Clapp. R2R has right of way. Be courteous.
· Do not stop at the R2R rest stop at Royal Jr High. You are less than a mile from our finish at this point! You can hold out!
PREPARATION: As the first ride of the season for many of you make sure to prepare yourself during the week so Friday evening you can relax and sleep easy knowing you are ready to kick off a new season. Also preparing yourself and your equipment will minimize the need for assistance during the ride.
